There are no mass produced aftermarket cylinder heads that should be installed OOTB, even if they claim they can be. The S/R was baised on the modified 440-1 heads used in the Hot Rod big block shoot out tests where the rules stated the engines had to be less than 500 cid and run on pump gas, so indy reduced the port size of the 440-1s to increase port velocity and make more torque in this type of street/strip engine.
